Liz and
Raphael
September 6, 2003

Mr.
and Mrs.Savir
Elizabeth Landrigan and Raphael Savir were married at the Lars Anderson
Park in Brookline on September 6, 2003. Friends and family cheered
and woo hoo'd as the happy couple kissed for the first time as a couple
- rather, as a married couple. After the ceremony and an extended
photo session it was off to the Veronique Ballroom for libations, food,
dance and celebration. Highlights included great singing by Chris
Landrigan, Liz' brother, and Richard, Liz' cousin; a jig danced by Phil
and Catherine Landrigan; Raf's father David and Lise Lindquist bringing
down the house with a dance; and Steve
and Mark's touching dance.
The ceremony was perfect, thanks in part to the coordination of wedding
planner Kristi Rea.
Problems were minor but included the
young man - who shall remain nameless - who forgot to bring along
his size 15 shoes. One fellow even enjoyed his first
trip to the dance floor with a female.
Friday night's rehearsal dinner included some excellent
singing by Chris and Mary and some fine presents - although these
were puzzling to some.
In
my photographic efforts I found some folks in unlikely places - like
Ed and Steve here - doing
unlikely things (like drinking). Boy, weddings can be crazy. And,
true, there was work to be done - like setting
up the chairs - but someone had to document it, right?
I apologize for some mediocre shots which don't portray folks in the
best light - the unexpected stern
expression or . Oh, and I realize that the camera wasn't
always welcomed or came
as a surprise - sorry about that.
I was fairly nervous delivering the toast
because all eyes were on me.
However, I muddled through, and I know that my well wishes for the couple
were shared by all present.
The wedding was an event that I look back on fondly!
